Capture Signet Question
I'm a little confused about how the capture signet works. I got the quest from the guy in Lions Arch, captured a skill, and the reward was the cap signet. I captured another skill, and it disappeared from my skill list. So do I have to buy capture signet from a skills trader each time I want to cap a skill?

Also after you are sure that you have done all the quests that give you skills, you might need to buy other skills as well.
Its easier just to buy them from the trader and use the capture signet for Elites. This way you will save yourself the time of capping normal skills. Here is a list of the quests that give skills (so u do not have to buy them and this way u save yourself the money) http://www.guildwiki.org/wiki/Skill_Quests |

Thanks, Boxterduke!
Yeah, that second skill I capped is an elite. I want more! Which is why I noticed that I no longer have Capture Signet in my skill list. I figured I had to keep buying it, but I wanted to double-check that I wouldn't be doing something stupid. |

You pretty much understand now, yes use caps for Elites best bet
research your elite some you wont want they are useless your only really going to use about 5 or 6 of the elites. Remember only 1 on the skill tray at a time. Only way to have more is have an elite skill on the tray and a couple caps sigs, cap the elites in the mission and you got all there for duration of the mission. |

Actually, you can have multiple Signets of Capture on the Skill Bar at the same time. It's done constantly for Skill Cap groups at Ember Light Camp who need mulitple caps and don't want to make a second trip if necessary. But remember, only use the Sig of Capture for two things:
1) Capturing Elite skills 2) Capping Normal Skills that you wont get until later game, but only if you want/need them right then. |

I just got the signet of capture. The expanation when I got it said it PERMANENTLY stays in my skills. The word permanently is a definite in the definition in the game. Has this changed since the last post?
update: Thank you Caelus I was confused in previous post that the captured skill was lost forever. dave Last edited by dave70005; Mar 27, 2006 at 02:02 AM // 02:02.. |
